Analytical Chemist with extensive experience in the Cannabis industry. 2 years of experience in the production of Cannabinoid extracts for medicinal use. 3+ years of experience in chemical analysis of cannabis products for regulatory control. Experienced in the operation and maintenance of HPLC, LC-MS, ICP-MS, and GC-MS. Responsible for the validation of multiple analytical methods across a number of instruments and matrices. For example, I adapted an existing procedure for the analysis of Residual Solvents using Headspace GC-MS for a novel use in cannabis products, expanded the existing cannabinoid assay with two additional cannabinoids, and developed and validated a 39 terpene assay using GC-MS among other, smaller projects. Responsible for leading a team of three technicians in maintaining sample throughput for Heavy Metals Analysis using ICP-MS, Pesticides Analysis using LC-MS, and Mycotoxins Analysis using LC-MS. This involves tracking inventory, managing staff schedules, and monitoring all instrument maintenance and service, all while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety and good documentation practices.
