As the Chief Technologist and Cyber Security Evangelist at One Enterprises, a private equity firm that invests in diverse industries, I have over 20 years of experience in cyber security, information technology, and private equity. I combine my technical skills and certifications, such as CISSP, CEH, and MCITP, with my business acumen and communication skills, to deliver value to our portfolio companies and stakeholders. My role is to speak the language of business operations, mergers and acquisitions, and risk management, while translating and transmogrifying the technobabble into real-world, understandable, productive discussions. I also build goodwill in the community by helping others see the inherent risks of doing business in this connected age, by mitigating these threats, and by communicating the need to collaborate in a safe manner. I often act as a virtual CISO to operations, bolstering their in-house cyber security expertise. I have specialties in various cyber security domains, such as penetration testing, PCI DSS, SOC2 audit, ISO 27001, SIEM configuration, Azure Security Score, Azure Sentinel, Microsoft Cloud App Security, CASB, Information Protection, and security-focused ML and AI. I'm passionate about sharing my knowledge and insights with peers and audiences and have published articles and spoken at conferences on various cyber security topics.
