About Reena Beggs

I am currently a Senior Clinical Research Associate at IQVIA focused on oncology trials. Previously I was a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator at the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Comprehensive Cancer Center and specialized in phase 1 studies. I hold a research-based PhD. in biomedical sciences. These experiences have allowed me to develop a love of translation sciences at all stages (preclinical to clinical). I have also found that I have a passion for using my strong scientific background to breakdown complex biological concepts common in current oncology trials and this passion has led me to developing educational materials such as a ‘bedside biology’ seminar series and training modules for junior staff. I aim to continue to contribute to executing translational research through clinical trials and aid in making complex scientific concepts accessible to backgrounds.
