Background

About Reese Pecot

Driven, calm under pressure executive. Leader without silos; I’ve led strategic initiatives and built industry leading teams across Google, including Legal, Trust & Safety and Search. As Chief of Staff for Search Quality, I optimize strategy and operations for building some of Google’s most complex algorithms and accompanying ML and data science endeavors to ensure the trustworthiness of the information we provide to users. Prior, as Director of Search, Geo, Assistant and ML product policy, I built world leading teams that kept users safe by tackling misinformation, hate, child safety and beyond, while influencing core technology development to build in ways that reduced risk. Outside of Google, you might find me obsessing about Nassim Taleb’s latest essays on systemic risk, deconstructing the data around how women succeed in the workplace, or giving speeches.
