About Reg Langen

Reg is an accomplished leader with a career spanning over twenty years in the turfgrass, parks, and landscape operations industries. Beginning his journey in golf course management, Reg pursued extensive post-secondary education in turfgrass management, laying a strong foundation for his career. His dedication and expertise were recognized through multiple industry accolades, including selection to attend the Bayer Green Start Academy in 2014. Transitioning from golf course management to broader roles, Reg assumed the position of Operations Manager at CSL Group Ltd, a prominent landscaping and snow removal company. Here, he oversaw day-to-day operations, managed profit and loss statements, and cultivated strong client relationships, all while expanding service offerings to enhance client satisfaction. In 2019, Reg made a significant shift to the public sector, joining the City of Mississauga as Supervisor of Parks Operations. In this role, he managed the Clarkson area, one of the city's largest and most high-profile operations areas. Reg's responsibilities included performance management, public engagement, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Reg's leadership journey continued to evolve as he assumed strategic positions overseeing the direction of the City's operations, particularly in the Turf and Sports portfolios. He spearheaded initiatives to improve field conditions, optimize resource allocation, and support the City's Climate Change Action Plan, showcasing his ability to drive impactful change at scale. Throughout his career, Reg has remained deeply committed to professional development and industry involvement. In addition to completing certificates in Business Essentials and Parks and Recreation Management, he recently undertook the Organizational Leadership program at Rotman School of Management. Reg's active participation in industry associations and his role on the Board of Directors for OTRF underscore his dedication to advancing the industry and fostering collaboration within the community.
