Well lets's just say it's never a dull moment a day in the life of a paraprofessional and that's what I like! The smiles, tears, laughter, tantrums, and hugs are just some of the ingredients of the special sauce that a loving and patient paraprofessional has to offer! I have had the pleasure to assist in teaching from pre-k to high school and have had the possibility to grow through the years I am with the NYC DOE. Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder and Autism Spectrum Disorder was what I realized was my forte and have built my knowledge through professional development and specific higher education courses obtained during my time at Empire State College. I have also had the chance to work as an office assistant and have found that I enjoy using my organizational and clerical skills in courteous ways. This has prompted me to expand my horizon and I am eager to transition into a new role by bringing my skills and fresh perspectives to drive success within my career change.
