About Reginae Echols

I think of myself as a collector in both the professional and personal realms. Over the years I have curated a collection of professional disciplines. Everything from my short time as a journalist intern to volunteering with community organizations to my design work as an intern, and now my work as a project manager is included in my trinket box of tools that I draw from as I work towards a future as a UX researcher. But that is not all I collect, I am also a collector of the arts. Like my professional collection, my artistic collection is filled with many artifacts - from Lucille Clifton's poetry to A24 movie releases to my messy clay crafts. My art collection drives the creativity that lies behind my passion for developing digital solutions to real-world problems. Whether it's crafting a component library in Figma, adapting usability testing for user needs, or interpreting qualitative data into invaluable insights - it is my habit of collecting that allows me to continue designing toward a more vibrant future. So if I had to describe myself, I would say I am a collector (with a slight knack for curation).
