About Reginald Nugent

Reginald has over 35 years of experience in executive management, strategic planning, project finance and economic analysis, and entrepreneurship. He brings a vision and a record of entrepreneurial achievement to new ventures and projects, and has co-founded several start-up ventures, including Isadra, Inc, an Internet software company launched in the Silicon Valley, and successfully acquired for $50 million. He served as the Senior Advisor to the Minister of Industry, Investment & Commerce for the Jamaican Government from 2012 to 2016, where he was responsible for policy advice related to industry and commercial development. Mr. Nugent was a Co-Founder and Chief Financial Officer of Transcel, Limited a mobile technology company that developed mobile software application targeting solutions in countries with large unbanked and underbanked populations. He has worked for Capital West Advisors for several years providing business plan writing, financial coal modeling and analysis services to entrepreneurs and business clients. His expertise includes business plan preparation, capital-raising, project planning, and municipal and transportation finance (assignments included developing financial plans and budgets to support major transit and toll bridge capital projects, and performing financial analysis and budget management assignments for San Francisco Bay area municipalities. Reginald holds a Bachelors and a Masters degree in economics from the University of the West Indies, a Master's Degree in Economics from the London School of Economics, U.K, and attended the PhD program at Stanford University, California.
