Learning Support Services is both the Educational Technology and Information Technology departments. The role of Learning Support Services is to provide exceptional support and customer service to students, staff and parents. LSS coordinates, implements and provides security protocols for District Information Systems and Networks in support of District Divisions, Departments, and school sites to insure compliance with federal, state, and local mandates. Our focus is on improving student outcomes through support for classroom instruction. LSS works consistently to collaborate with site leadership to establish assessment schedules, instructional and technology supports. We provide professional learning in the effective use of data and technology to improve student achievement. LSS oversees the publication of official school and district data in required federal, state, and local planning documents, including but not limited to the School Accountability Report Card (SARC) and SPSA. We organize evaluation procedures, budgets, and implementation strategies for existing, new, and revised technology, bandwidth, integration, safety and infrastructure projects. LSS provides collaborative support for accurate data processing and ensures that data is reported accurately to CALPADS. LSS provides support and oversight for District Registrars, Attendance Operators, and the District’s Student Information System. LSS provides leadership, support, and oversight of the District’s Technology plans, programs, and personnel as well as district social media and electronic communications. LSS provides oversight and support for annual community input on the District’s assessment and educational technology programs and services, in support of the annual update to the Local Control Accountability Plan.
