About Reinaldo Aguilera

Hi! My name is Reinaldo Aguilera and these are my two great passions- Creation and communities development- Web development. I like to consider myself a self-taught person who enjoys striving with daily tasks. I enjoy learnig new subjects and improving my skills as a developer and a human being. I have lived and work in many different countries, which has given me a wide perspective about life, team-work and parenting. I truly believe in volunteering activities and the power of communities. Every share single story, comment or class form us, make us grow, not only as individuals, not only as volunteers but as society, as a country, and finally as a world. It might be a very naive view of reality or even more positive than it should be, but is the way i want things to go along. A positive mind, gives positives projects. That is why I have always participated in supporting communities. When I moved to Galicia, I established the GDG Vigo and Betabeers Galicia that nowadays has gathered more than 500 developers. During this two years, more than 50 events have take place. Moreover, I have also helped in entrepreneurs’ ecosystem events such as StartUp Weekend Galicia, as an organizer. Learning how to program has been one of the most important achievements I have done in my life because it helped me improving my way of thinking and acting everyday. I’m a frontend and backend developer yet, mostly using PHP and Javascript in web development.
