Protecting What’s Vital. There is always a life-changing moment in everyone’s life and for me that moment came just after just embarking on my career at a privately owned machinery company. Since my degree in Industrial Management, I had the opportunity to be involved in the start-up of a subsidiary in water treatment solutions. This happened to be the start of a journey where the importance of water and the increasing scarcity became clearly visible to me. After a few years I joined DiverseyLever, at that time a Unilever company, working for the commercial laundry division where 3 main factors came together: water, energy, and hygiene. While leading teams in (international) sales & marketing roles there was always one common objective: create maximum value to customers, while reducing their overall operational costs and minimizing the environmental impact. When I joined Ecolab, a global sustainability leader offering water, hygiene and infection prevention solutions and services, I immediately felt at home. With more than associates in more than 170 countries we partner to make the world cleaner, safer and healthier creating value for our customers while protecting people and the resources vital to life. In my latest role as Director Sustainability Europe | Planet Health Program I have the pleasure to work with the most dedicated and experienced team of professionals in the industry helping our customers in the food, healthcare, hospitality and industrial markets to reduce their water and energy consumption and contributing to their sustainability goals. As I am taking on this role, it feels like this is closing-the-circle moment for me, a moment when I can focus on what I care the most: creating value and protecting what is vital.
