About Rejish Radhakrishnan

An engineer with 12+ years of experience in design, development and implementation of server side and mobile applications. Have worked on creating end-to-end solutions designed on monolithic and microservice architectures in a couple of major domains such as Banking and Financial Services, Electronic Bill Payments and Healthcare. I am involved in heading and training the engineering team at Needle to help build solutions in the BFSI and travel domains. Have architected, developed and deployed solutions that are API driven and microservice based. Currently involved in architecting solutions for a U.S based insurance client around data management and NLP/NLU frameworks. Involved in backend design and development of a solution for an India based premier tour and travel organization. Involved in developing a mobile application for an AI based healthcare project. Have worked with a leading manufacturer in the automobile industry in creating a mobile application to capture the 360 degree view of a vehicle(interior+exterior). Apart from architecture, I have contributed to devOps, database/schema designs, cross platform mobile application development and backend services for various projects at Needle. I started my career as a Software Engineer at iGate with my clients from the BFSI domain - Japan based insurance company and a multinational bank based in India where I developed solutions that helped improved productivity and output of the employees. Moving on to ORCC, I was involved in developing netbanking solutions/payment gateways for various banks and credit unions based in the U.S. Cerner was the last organization I worked at before I decided to startup. At Cerner, I had the opportunity to explore the healthcare industry and also the inception of my mobile development track where I developed apps(Android and iOS) to solve internal problems. Have also organized hackathons for employees in the company who were interested to learn mobile application development and trained them on the same. My primary skillsets are around backend/mobile tech - Java/J2EE/Spring/Spring Boot framework with JPA/MyBatis. Have worked on projects that use PostgreSQL and MySQL extensively with basic to intermediate experience on Oracle and MS SQL. Worked on Android(Java),iOS(Objective-C) and currently developing on Flutter. Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Git, SonarQube, Tomcat, Maven, Gradle, Apache, Nginx. Currently working on projects involving AWS.
