About Reko Smith

I am a Programme Associate at Fujitsu. I am also qualified in Project Management with an APM PMQ. As a determined young professional, I want to embrace the future by working at the forefront of the innovation, development and implementation of emerging global technology, in roles that can harness my potential, not limited to project management. I’m more than open to new career paths. With my current skills and experience of leadership, project management, public speaking, and creative skills in games and graphic design, I have a perfect balance of platform for me to excel and succeed from. My serial success comes from my social action work at Manchester Young Carers Group, helping to lead the peer-led group of young carers with our award-winning Be Bothered campaign, as well as our Transition campaign, with my leadership we directly influenced local government and have made real, tangible change to thousands of young people in Manchester. Alongside this, I won Manchester’s Volunteer of the Year by Manchester City Council, and was nominated for the Making a Change Award by Manchester Youth Council. I’ve had the opportunity to represent and campaign with children’s charities, lead student groups in university to first-class grades, lead produce a video game prototype for a national video games competition, and be successful in joining a Global Fortune 500 company graduate scheme.
