About Remi Allen

Passionate and driven to apply all knowledge and experience gained as an ex professional footballer and transfer that to coaching and leadership within the football environment. As a qualified A License coach I have gained many experiences along the way to prepare myself for management. Along side playing full time football I worked at every age group in each RTC football and eventually working at under 21s level for previous clubs I was playing at. My current role is Assistant coach at Crystal Palace Women. Learning a new way of doing things and helping support my head coach is key for me in my development of my all round understanding of working within an MDT in a high performance environment. Previous to this i was Head Coach at Southampton Women FC. Incredible experience first hand at driving a culture and creating a high performing environment. I took the role at Interim Head Coach of London City in 2024 with the sole aim of steadying the ship and keeping the club in the FA Women’s Championship. With 6 games in charge I managed to do this and leave the club in a healthier place. Apart of a mentee scheme I had the opportunity to work on the international stage with England Under 23s as an assistant coach. This was an unbelievable valuable experience that added to my knowledge and pushed the levels of high performance to transfer back to club football. Passionate about evolving my knowledge of the game I worked as a scout/analyst for the FA During the Women’s Senior World Cup. Along side all of this I have been stepping into the media world and working as a commentator/ pundit on tv/radio. Working with the likes of BBC, Sky Sports and Talksport. Before all of this I earned my trade in the game as a professional footballer. Playing for Leicester City, Leeds United, Lincoln Ladies, Birmingham City, Reading and Aston Villa. I made over 100 appearances in the FAWSL, played in the Champions league, won the FAWC with Leicester city and represented my country at every age group. One of my proudest achievements being winning the European Championship with England under 19s.
