OBJECTIVE - At this point of my career at CNL, I am looking for a leadership role to utilize and expand upon my existing work experience. I like to focus on making sure that work areas follow the necessary regulations while ensuring efficient and effective execution of the tasks required. EXPERIENCE - Canada Nuclear Laboratories - Environmental Remediation Management Program Officer • Lead for surveillance, assessment and inspection of the waste process for quality assurance. • Reviewed and provided guidance and leadership for sampling and characterization technical reports as well as waste planning and generation documents. • Provided guidance and leadership to waste management personnel for ERM regulatory and process requirements. • Reviewed documentation for waste dispositioned against various Waste Acceptance Criteria (WAC), federal & provincial regulatory requirements (e.g, Nuclear Safety and Control Act), and industrial guidelines for quality assurance. • Lead for process alignment with external CNL sites such as Port Hope Area Initiative, Nuclear Power Demonstration, Douglas Point Decommissioning Plan, Saskatchewan Research Council Slowpoke Reactor, Gentilly-1 and La Prade sites. • Waste Program lead for the Low-Level Waste Sort & Segregation Facility and Dosimetry Rad Waste Pilots projects which included data analysis and review of acceptable waste packages. • Lead for waste packaging requirements documentation and training. • Lead the project to design, implementation and awareness training of central sorting stations across all buildings at Chalk River Laboratories. • Developed and executed new waste/recycling requirements to staff at various levels across CNL. • Initiated and organized an innovative reuse of materials through the donation of surplus waste container inventory to local schools & hospitals in order to reduce disposal and environmental costs to CNL • Organized, implemented and completed the lead (Pb) reclamation project in 2015 which resulted in recognition through a Voyager Award. • Organized a multi-departmental project to remove legacy waste in order to create space for new equipment and additional storage for supplies and samples.
