About Remko Dur

The financial services industry has an urgent need to change. Knowledgeable and empowered customers pose new demands, new technologies evolve quickly and trust needs to be rebuilt. Incumbents face challenges initiating these changes, while new businesses, mostly from outside the industry, challenge their positions. What drives me is to initiate and facilitate new developments and to help the industry, existing as well as new businesses, to make the required transition. Background I have a MSc (Computer Science) and PhD degree (Business process reengineering) from Delft University of Technology. I have extensive experience in business development and innovation, in large organizations as well as start-ups. I was program manager at ABN AMRO Bank for the development and market launch of Internet banking. I was P&L responsible for the consumer market in the Netherlands and was Executive Vice President for business solutions within this same bank. I was leading co-founder of Netwerkbankieren: a new financial service for entrepreneurs, built as a community of empowered individuals that solve their issues amongst each other. I have a long experience in leading and coaching professionals, with an engaging and authoritative leadership style.‬
