About Rena Hall

Big Four, federal law enforcement, and public company experiences have equipped me with the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to conduct operational audits, perform internal and external investigations and evaluate systems of internal control. The years that span my career have evolved and culminated in my achieving the following certifications: Certified Sarbanes-Oxley (CSOX), Certified Sarbanes-Oxley, Professional (CSOX/P) and Certified Internal Control Specialist (CICS). I am a SOX Program Manager that realizes the benefits that can be derived through educating all individuals in an organization about internal controls which impacts everyone. Once you explain the “What’s in it for ME” relationship in SOX, people get the big picture. Additionally, I have the unique ability to understand and translate information technology concepts regarding applications and general controls. I continually seek to collaborate and coordinate with information technology specialists and experts to identify solutions utilizing COBIT as the framework for SOX IT. I have managed anywhere from 1 to 45 people which has provided me the opportunity to work with a diverse background of individuals and assisted in the development of my transformational leadership style. Some of the people that were my employees over 20 years ago have remained friends through today and I cherish the relationships we have built with mutual respect. I have a strong belief in strategic planning, continuous organizational change, critical forward thinking, and empowerment. “Knowledge is power” forms the foundation of my management and leadership competencies. Honesty, integrity, respect, ethics, and passion forms the framework that round out my core values. My own personal spirituality includes humbleness and humility, which provide opportunities for inspirational thoughts in the twilight.
