About Renae Cuevas Dias

I am currently working as a for The Resource Exchange which provides Early Intervention support for families with young children (birth to 3) with disabilities. My area of expertise is working with children with hearing differences, children with a visual impairment, and children who use Assistive Technology/Alternative Augmentative Communication. I also Lead our specialty team that support services for children with vision impairments and hearing differences. I am also in a PhD program for Inclusive Early Childhood Education and am part of the Early Childhood Intervention Doctoral Consortium (ECiDC) to pursue research and teaching in my areas of expertise. I worked as a for Colorado Springs, CO School District 11 at Stratton Elementary and Horace Mann Middle school. I primarily work with the elementary and middle schools' Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program and with the middle school's children with severe needs program. Graduated in August 2014 with my Masters Degree for Speech-Language Pathology at Nazareth College, Rochester, NY. I was in the Deafness Specialty cohort. This cohort allowed me to focus on learning how to work with deaf and hard of hearing individuals. I took some specialized classes along with my regular graduate courses. Graduated in May 2012 from Augustana College, Sioux Falls, SD. My major was Communication Disorders with Special Education, Sign Language Studies, and Philosophy minors.
