About Renae Harle

As a pre-physical therapy student, I am planning on graduating in the spring of 2023 with a degree in Interdepartmental Studies-Health Science. Post graduation, I am determined to work in a physical therapy clinic for a year before starting graduate school. It is my goal to become more knowledgeable in the field and career to aid me in my studies as I gain my doctorate. Additionally, the year will allow me to earn more observation hours and help me to be sure I am completely positive this is the career for me. Currently, I am working two jobs with the University of Iowa. Firstly, I am a tutor with the rhetoric department. I am imbedded in a classroom where I am a resource for students and occasionally lead lessons. This job helps me succeed in gaining my minor in rhetoric as well as always keeping my skills with writing and speaking sharp. Secondly, I am a tour guide with Iowa Admissions. This job has helped me strengthen my interpersonal skills and aided me in growing my confidence as a public speaker. I am incredibly grateful for both of these opportunities and look forward to continuing them until graduation. In terms of student organizations, I am a member and executive member of the a University of Iowa Hawkapellas. This group allows me to continue my leadership skills outside the workplace. Also, it allows me to continue my passion for singing with a talented group of other women.
