About Renata Baroni

Energy, passion, and determination have shaped both my personal and professional journey. These qualities define me, influencing my experiences, challenges, and achievements. Resumés typically highlight professional accomplishments, but I believe personal achievements are who trully reveals character and values. While my career milestones are important, I want to share the journey that made me who I am today. That said, like everyone, I have my flaws. Attention to detail isn’t my strongest suit—it requires significant effort. Organization is another challenge I’ve had to overcome. However, these obstacles have never held me back. Instead, I take them as challenges. I was born and raised in Brazil. My parents divorced when I was eight so I chose my grandparents to raise me. Determined to excel academically, I secured a place at USP (Universidade de São Paulo), Latin America’s top university, where I studied Pharmaceutical Sciences. I got my R&D co-op at Natura, one of the world’s most innovative and sustainable cosmetic companies. For this opportunity I had to leave my hometown and loved ones to relocate to São Paulo. There I spent two transformative years. My next goal was Johnson & Johnson, a company I deeply admired. After several attempts, my persistence paid off, and I secured an R&D position. Over nine years, I advanced across multiple brands and teams. During this time, I also got married and became a mother of two. Despite my success, I craved a new challenge. In 2019 I made one of the biggest moves of my life: immigrating to Canada. Within months in Canada, I landed my first job, though it was similar to an entry-level role. But I never lost faith in my potential. In three months, I transitioned to the beverage industry, exploring a new field—packaging development. For three years, I worked with experienced engineers, gaining expertise in plastics, molding, and machinery. Determined to pivot my career, I secured a Marketing Commercialization Manager role at Henkel. Within nine months, I transitioned into Brand Management, where I truly found my calling. Today, I thrive in this role, using creativity, strategy, and consumer insights to drive brand growth. Another lifelong passion of mine is languages. I speak Portuguese, English, and Spanish and I am currently learning French. For me, language is more than a skill—it’s a gateway to new cultures. I also earned my Italian citizenship after five years of effort. Now that you know my journey, I hope you see beyond the traditional resumé and understand what truly drives me.
