About Renato Miguel

Mr. Miguel is a project engineer specialising in the design, evaluation and construction of hydraulic structures and power plants. With over ten years of experience as a civil engineer working in the sectors of hydraulic structures, hydropower and heavy industrial engineering, Mr. Miguel has demonstrated strong aptitudes for structural design, stability analysis, open channel hydraulics, as well as project management and coordination. Moreover, his research into the finite element modelling of ice and his participation in the design and construction of deep foundations for a large electrical substation on thaw-sensitive permafrost, have given him considerable insight into the specific challenges of cold region engineering. This work, as well as his contribution to research projects such as the development of automated tools for the finite element modeling of arch dams, demonstrate the ease with which M. Miguel can undertake complex projects in collaboration with experts of various backgrounds.
