PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the Universität Dortmund, Germany, in 1994 and post-doctorate at the Free University of Amsterdam (Netherlands). Prof. at UFSM since 1994. Coordinator since 2001 of the Laboratory for Pesticide Residues Analysis (LARP), CGCRE/INMETRO accredited, and leader of the Research Group for Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry (CPCEM) since 2001, coordinating several projects in the area of residues and contaminants in food and environmental samples. Member of the Superior Council of Fapergs (2017-2022). President of Red de Análises de La Calidad Ambiental en América Latina (RACAL) and member of the executive extended board of the International Association of Environmental Analytical Chemistry (IAEAC) since 2013. Researcher PQ 1C CNPq. Coordinator of Graduate Studies in Chemistry (PPGQ) at UFSM and member of the University Council of UFSM (2008-2010). Director (2006-2008) and Vice-Director (2004-2006) of the SBQ Division of Analytical Chemistry. Member of the Coordination of the NATIONAL NETWORK FOR FOOD ANALYSIS (RENALI)/SIBRATEC/MCTI since 2009. Author of several papers and book chapters. Supervisor of 34 dissertations, 22 doctoral thesis and 4 post-doc. Currently supervise 3 master, 5 doctoral, 1 postdoc and 2 undergraduate students. Associate Editor of the journal Scientia Chromatographica and Member of the Editorial Board of International Journal of Environmental Analytical Chemistry (IJEAC) and Brazilian Journal of Analytical Chemistry (BrJAC ). Ad hoc consultor for several scientific journals and funding agencies. Presented lectures at scientific events in France, Italy, Costa Rica, Greece, Germany, Spain, Mexico, USA, Chile, Colombia, Uruguay and several in Brazil, as well as courses in Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil.
