About Rendi Nutt

As an educator for fifteen years, I bring a unique perspective and understanding to the development of children. I prioritize students identity, their joy and ensure their minds are academically nurtured. I have a deep understanding and knowledge of social justice, advocacy and cultural awareness which helps build relationships and guides my decision making. I bring experience in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice strategy. I have spent time learning how to be an actively anti-racist educator and created curriculum in my classroom to represent a wider range of voices and experiences. I have worked to make my classroom a safer and inclusive space. I am a skilled communicator in conflict resolution and an an empathetic mediator. I have experience facilitating conversations around charged issues with both adults and children Additionally, I have 20 years of background experience in dance and movement. I have choreographed and led children and adults through dance both fitness-based and performance-focused. I have witnessed in adult students that dance and movement not only help develop body image; improve self-esteem and reduce anxiety, stress and depression.
