I started working with Myeyedr. I was a patient service coordinator for two years and moved into more of the selling side of optometry. I had hit a wall and wasn't going any further there so I started out at the Hampton Inn in Milford DE as a housekeeper. It was the only position open at the time. So I worked in housekeeping for a couple of months and then I moved to laundry. I only spent about a month or two in laundry before an opening at the front desk. I arrived at the front desk when our scores were down to a 3 over just three months I was able to bring them up to a 16. I was getting numerous reviews about my service, which I am proud of. The sales position open up April of 2018. My general manager recommended I submit my resume since I am very good with our guests. I ended up being selected for the Director of Sales. Over just the few months I have been in the position I have doubled the meeting room revenue, attained 6 new local negotiated rates for companies in the area and plan on implementing new packages for off season business. I have also raised the companies ADR every weekend for 2019. I continue to grow in revenue for the peak season. I have grown the hotel since I have been in this position in Occupancy, Rate, and RevPar. I know 3M an accounting system and I am allowed to put in invoices "a task the general manager does." I am also acting General Manager when my General Manager is not present. I am also familiar with R&I, OnQ PM, The Lobby, and STS sales force. I have now been promoted to Assistant General Manager.
