About Renee Carter

With a career built on an unconventional and powerful mix of skills—compliance, investigations, and social work—Renee has been a trailblazer in the nonprofit sector. Specializing in organizations that support vulnerable populations, Renee has not only made her mark in the industry but has helped to change it for the better. Her diverse background began in the field of compliance leading compliance departments in the federal, state, corporate, private, and public sectors, where she honed her knowledge of rules and regulations that are necessary for organizations to uphold their missions and protect their beneficiaries. Moving from compliance, Renee shifted her focus to investigations, where she was able to tap into her deep understanding of the inner workings of nonprofits and ensure that individuals and organizations were held accountable for their actions. A perfect complement to her work in compliance and investigations, Renee's experience as a social worker has allowed her to bridge the gap between regulatory oversight and empathy for the people those rules are designed to protect. It is this distinctive blend of skills that has enabled Renee to have a profound effect on the communities she serves. With a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of both the human aspect and regulations, Renee has often been the driving force that uncovers the truth and implements the best possible outcome for all parties involved.
