As the founder of Georgia’s first tuition-free literacy and language charter school, I’ve been deeply involved in our school’s development. From creating systems for operational efficiency to cultivating strong community partnerships, I’ve built a school environment where students thrive academically and socially. Before ZEST, I served as the Director of Operations at DC Public Schools. I honed my strategic planning abilities, developed effective recruitment strategies, and managed complex logistics across multiple school sites. This role deepened my ability to lead cross-functional teams, implement large-scale initiatives, and strengthen community engagement, all while aligning operational practices with the district’s broader goals of educational excellence and organizational growth.
