Renee's present areas of involvement within Managed Care (e.g. Commercial, Medicare Part D, Managed Medicaid, Self-Insured & Health Insurance Exchanges) include product & pricing/contracting strategy of pharmaceuticals including biologicals & medical devices, clinical assessment of pharmaceuticals in development/in-licensing vs. marketplace competition, medical & pharmacy policy surveillance & strategic consulting using payer research & reimbursement analysis & employer group pharmacy benefit design & management. Previously, Ms. Fleming held the position of VP Corporate Pharmacy Services at HealthNow New York, Inc.(parent company of BCBS of Western New York and BS of Northeastern New York) from January - February 2005. During her 17 year tenure at HealthNow New York, Renee was actively involved in numerous managed care pharmacy activities including oversight of formulary and drug therapy management involving pharmaceuticals covered under the pharmacy and medical benefits, coordinating the P&T Committee, pricing & contracting, pharmacy network and pharmaceutical manufacturer partnerships, provider, employer group and broker relations, physician education, benefit design, as well as disease & health management activities. Renee obtained her Bachelor Degrees in Nuclear Medicine Technology & Pharmacy and her MBA from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She is a past president & board member of the UB Pharmacy Alumni Association and is currently a member of the UB Alumni Association Board of Directors. Renee has been an active member of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) over the past 20 years. Ms. Fleming is currently serving her second three year term (2017-2020) on the Journal of Managed Care & Specialty Pharmacy (JMCP) Editorial Advisory Board. She has also served as Chair for the Special Projects Committee, Vice Chair for the Educational Affairs Committee & was a member of the Professional Practice and Membership Committees.
