About Renee Gilbert

As a nursing professional I value professional presence and mindfulness. My goals are to establish positive and trusting relationships with my coworkers, colleagues, patients, and their family/support team. I want them to know that I have their best interest in the forefront of my work and plan to provide competent and safe health care to them. By establishing trust through professional presence, I am able to bring comfort and peace of mind to my patient's during their hospital experience. Through mindfulness I am able to "be in the moment" with those I am giving my time to. It is important to actively listen, be mindful of thoughts and feelings, take into consideration what someone else is going through in their life, and to not place judgement on anyone else. I try to live my life by being aware and mindful of the positives around me. I focus on the joy in life and what I can do to bring joy into other peoples' lives. I truly find joy in caring for others. This is why I became a nurse almost 20 years ago!
