About Renee Hendley

Renée Hendley is the Associate Director of NORC’s International Programs department. She has more than 20 years of experience managing and providing technical assistance on domestic and international development projects funded by USAID, MCC, U.S. Department of State, the World Bank, foundations, donor countries, and other funders. This work includes research, technical assistance, or program management under projects in over 20 countries in Africa, Central and South America, Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union, and Central Asia. Ms. Hendley currently serves as Program Manager for USAID’s Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance Learning, Evaluation and Research (DRG-LER) activity, a 8-year,$49 million contract providing services to advance learning activities in the DRG foreign assistance sector, as well as critical data on the impact of democracy and governance activities to assist with decision making. In addition to being responsible for overall program management (budgeting and cost control of taskings, contract progress reporting, subcontractor procurement and consent, international travel approvals, and other administrative reporting), she also serves as the technical lead on several DRG-LER taskings for national surveys related to electoral participation in Liberia and countering trafficking in persons in Honduras, and oversees taskings related to other auxiliary studies such as evidence gap maps and systematic reviews developed by 3ie. Ms. Hendley holds an MPA in Public Policy from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin, and a Graduate Certificate in Survey Design and Data Analysis from George Washington University in Washington, DC.
