Renée Jacobs brings over three decades of experience in the meeting and event industry. As the Chief Operating Officer at McVeigh Global Meetings and Events (MGME), she leads an exceptional team of event professionals specializing in the production of life science, corporate, and commercial events for a global clientele. Her expertise has driven the successful execution of events in more than 40 countries, including Qatar, Peru, South Korea, Malaysia, Colombia, China, UAE, Australia, South Africa, Hungary, Türkiye, and Brazil.Before joining MGME, Renée spent nine years at WorldTEK, where she served as Chief Operating Officer and Partner during her final two years. Prior to WorldTEK, Renée was the Conference Director for The Journal of Commerce (JoC) for nine years. She played a pivotal role in expanding the division’s conference portfolio into European and Asian markets. Under her leadership, the conference division achieved remarkable year-over-year growth of 30-40%. Notably, the Trans-Pacific Maritime Conference won the Bronze Medal for Best Conference from Folio Magazine in 2008. Renée’s outstanding contributions earned her recognition as a finalist in the 5th Annual Stevie Awards for Best Executive in the Women in Business category and nominations for the United Business Media Business Leadership Program in 2008 and 2009.Earlier in her career, Renée worked as a planner at The Compass Group, a firm specializing in life sciences meeting planning. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Commercial Recreation and Tourism from Montclair State University.Renée is deeply committed to giving back to her community, volunteering with the Red Cross of San Diego and supporting events for the San Diego Humane Society.
