I specialise in the European Union's regulatory laws, in particular EU environmental law, consumer protection law and policy, product safety, standards, food safety, chemicals as well as data protection.I manage a team of lawyers in the above areas, from the rules relating to REACH (chemicals) to producers' responsibilities under the EU legislation on end-of-life products (electrical and electronic waste, end-of-life vehicles, packaging, etc.), CE marking, green claims and advertising, among others.As one of the leading REACH specialists in Brussels, I manage a wide portfolio of clients for this highly regulated area of law.In addition, I advise clients on all aspects of the "new approach" Directives (concerning electrical equipment, machinery, toys, construction products and personal protective equipment, among others), as well as CE marking and the harmonised standards which are frequently being adopted under these Directives.My expertise also extends to the EU's general product safety laws, including matters involving textiles & clothing, footwear, childcare articles and all types of other consumer goods.I regularly work on behalf of governments, multinationals, trade associations and SMEs in Europe, the United States and Asia. I am in constant contact with the EU Institutions (Commission, Parliament, and Council) and Member States' regulatory authorities.I regularly lecture and write on EU regulatory matters.
