As a recent graduate of The University of Pretoria, I have had the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the field of audiology during my tenure as a community service audiologist at Estcourt Hospital in Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa. During my time there, under the mentorship of a dual-qualified Speech-Therapist and Audiologist, I served 10 clinics in the rural regions of the Central Drakensberg. Alongside a multidisciplinary team, I conducted diagnostic hearing assessments, ENT referrals, tinnitus counselling, earwax removals, hearing aid follow-ups, and aural rehabilitation. After completing my 12-month contract, I decided to take my career to the next level and embrace new challenges in a different environment. That's why I started the process of relocating to the United Kingdom, where I had the great fortune of being offered a position as a Hearing Aid Dispenser at Specsavers, Southampton. I am proud to be contributing to the provision of high-quality care to those in need. I am looking forward to developing my skills and expertise as part of this dynamic and innovative team at Specsavers.
