About Reuben Jacob

Graduated with a Bachelors in Architecture in 2015. Lead an international collaborative project to build a school in a slum dwelling with waste material. Worked with leading Architecture firms in Bangalore, India for over two years, handling small to large scale architecture projects. Working on concept development, design, working drawings, coordinating with civil and building services and inspecting building sites while overseeing construction progress.Realigned career path after joinging multidisciplinary design agency Think Happy Everyday(THE). Built and fabricated multiple interactive installations, working together with electronic, mechanic and software engineers. Managed operations at THE Workshop, a Makerspace where I also conducted workshops in basic woodworking, metalworking and digital design. Lead the design and fabrication on a community built interactive Christmas Tree.Guest Lecturer in Model Making at BGS School of Architecture, Bangalore. Represented THE agency at Unbox Caravan, a 10 day collaborative workshop organised in part by the British Council and Quicksand design studios.Graduated from UCL’s Interactive Architecture Lab to further my skills of working with interactive systems in architecture and expereince a more diverse culture and work ethic.My career path forward aims to weave technology driven design processes and human interaction into relatable and relevant spatial experiences.
