About Rex Alan Johnson

I am a graduate of Pepperdine University with a master's degree in psychology. I am currently working on my doctorate degree through California Southern University and plan to work as a clinical psychologist as I also focus on developing a brief bibliotherapeutic treatment plan based on an existential theoretical approach. I currently work as a freelance life coach under an existential framework, utilizing techniques from positive psychology, focusing on character strengths development and resilience enhancement. I am also a certified meditation instructor, with emphasis on mindfulness meditation & mindful living techniques development. I am a writer (finishing up the second draft of my first book), and have written several short stories. I am an occasional actor (having worked more regularly in the past, but have adjusted my focus to mental health counseling), and I am also a volunteer crisis line counselor.
