With over two decades of experience as a highly successful digital healthcare entrepreneur, Rey Colón leads the telehealth industry through innovation and a passionate commitment to patient care. Because of his efforts, MyTelemedicine leads a network of technical and medical professionals, with over 750 licensed and board-certified physicians, psychologists, and psychiatrists providing quality care remotely.Rey got his start in digital health space as the co-founder of AmeriDoc, which secured funding in 2009 and was later acquired by Teladoc in 2013. After a brief hiatus, he started MyTelemedicine a Virtual Care company that services over 4 million consumers nationwide providing them with access to consult with a provider in our network anytime, anywhere utilizing the Access a Doctor mobile app. Once the pandemic hit Rey saw additional opportunities to scale his company and created additional subsidiaries, including GoLexi, a veterinary telehealth provider, and Zeally Telehealth, which provides software technology for providers to operate their own virtual care offering to their patients.Along the way, Rey has been recognized and awarded for his notable accomplishments. MyTelemedicine was recognized in 2021 by J.D. Power as a top direct-to-consumer telehealth provider, it was also recently ranked on the Inc. list in 2020 and 2021. In 2019 he was named Minority Business Entrepreneur of the Year by the Dallas Business Journal and was selected by Latin Business Action Network (LBAN) to attend and Is a graduate of the Stanford Latino Entrepreneurship Initiative (SLEI). MyTelemedicine was also recognized in 2017 and 2020 by Investopedia as one of the Top 5 Fastest Growing Telemedicine Companies and in 2016 and 2017 by Entrepreneur Magazine on the Entrepreneur 360 List, Rey has always stayed focused on his roots and Puerto Rican heritage and enjoys giving back. He is a noted speaker and regularly speaks to troubled teenagers and young adults to mentor and inspire them to find their purpose through a path of faith end entrepreneurship. Rey is also deeply committed to his faith. He is a loving husband to LaDonna and devoted father of a blended family and his Boxer Gracie, and enjoys global travel, mountain biking, salsa dancing, and family time. He also has an impressive personal story of perseverance and tenacity to overcome challenges that often plague minority communities.
