About Rhett Foreman

Contact me via this one. I have worked with thousands of people in our industry, almost exclusively in Brisbane. My mission statement is to work with people with mutual respect and admiration, to provide opportunities for our kids and to make a difference. This is is my “ Why”. I started as an apprentice carpenter in the early 90's with the Master Builders and went out with 15 different builders. I have an open supervisors licence and an Advanced Diploma of Building. In 2010 I joined 3 other people with lived experience of depression/mental health issues and contributed to a project with Beyond Blue. See the link to my section below. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7IzQxpuDVQw In early 2016 I completed a 2.5 day Speakers Bureau workshop with Suicide Prevention Australia, Mates in Construction and Roses in the Ocean. The aim of this is to have those with lived experiences speak publicly at events to raise awareness of and remove the stigma surrounding suicide and mental health issues within our industry and society generally. Mental health in construction- issues and fixes can do with more airtime. My efforts here- I approach projects with an inclusive "team first" attitude driven by program,quality and budget considerations and always with a focus on safety and client satisfaction. We rise and fall together. We do the best we can in the moment then move on. I am aware of my circle of influence and my circle of concern. I follow opportunities.
