My research project during my master's study assessed the environmental impacts of adopting alternative bus technologies in Auckland’s public transport sector, focusing on how renewable energy development in the grid could facilitate the transition to electric and hydrogen buses. I also examined energy consumption and GHG emissions across the life cycle of LFP batteries and hydrogen production via electrolysis. This project helped me develop insights into the environmental impacts across the entire product value chain, including energy generation and new technology production.
