About Rhys Evans

I joined Royal Mail in 2003 when I left college. My main job is a postal worker; however, I have also been trained to work in the office and completed several courses as a Trade Union Representative. I am an honest, hardworking individual with excellent customer service skills I am used to working in a team whilst also being capable of using my own initiative. I am friendly, helpful and polite. I am motivated and always seek to achieve high standards of work; I can build good relationships and relate to people on all levels to overcome problems in a work situation. I am enthusiastic and strive to learn and undertake new challenges. During my years of different roles I've learned a very good understand of Microsoft Office and most other aspects of computing. Outside of work I am a member of Caerphilly Male Voice choir where shortly after joining I became the events and Social Media Manager. This involves securing events for the choir to perform at, liaising with the booking party, choristers and music team and activity being responsive with communication between all parties. Also in this role I've learned a lot of marketing skills with seeing opportunities for the choir to assist locally. After spending almost 20 years with Royal Mail I'm considering a new career.
