Background
About Rhys MacKean
Currently Located in the Netherlands. A Maōri-Australian Filmmaker from the isolated city of Perth, Western Australia coming in hot into the industry with a Bachelor degree in Screen Production. Growing up with two completely different cultural backgrounds has given me the ability to see world experiences in a multifaceted way and to tell stories of the unsung. My past work includes being a Cinematographer for multiple short films, Directing and editing music videos, and capturing life around me. Currently Directing and Editing a Short film titled "Got a Light?", a film which follows a young man lost in the city of Perth looking for a lighter. And through this journey, stumbles into the path of some strange and sinister characters that change the course of his night.(Currently in Post-production) Excited to collaborate with like minded individuals and to create art that tells stories and starts dialogue.
