Turning Science into Strategy, Creativity, and Real-World Impact In I embarked on a journey as a research scientist in cognitive neuroscience, driven by a profound question: What truly influences human decision-making? My early career saw me collaborating with international research teams, exploring intricate topics like reasoning, risk management, and cognitive biases. But by 2010, I found myself questioning the limits of my work. While intellectually stimulating, its applications were confined to the sterile environment of a lab. I craved something more—real-world impact. So, I took a bold step. Before leaving academia, I made a hypothesis of my own: What if I applied the principles of behavioral science outside the lab? Could this knowledge transform how we tackle the disruptive changes facing society today? I believed the answer was yes, and with that, I transitioned into a new phase of my career. Since then, I have dedicated myself to empowering people and organizations to navigate complex challenges in work environments, education, healthcare, and beyond. Joining Humans Matter in 2016, I became part of a mission to pioneer a new, human-centered discipline: Cognitive Design—an approach that blends strategic, product, and behavioral design to create solutions grounded in human behavior. The results have been transformational. In just two years, our business revenue nearly doubled, with an exceptional profit margin to match. In September 2023, we launched the Media Lab—a cutting-edge, interdisciplinary platform merging Science, Engineering, Design, and Art to fuel creativity. Inspired by the MIT Media Lab, this space is a catalyst for innovation. Today, I continue to build partnerships with businesses and organizations, helping them design groundbreaking solutions that push the boundaries of what's possible. My mission? To be a “Diversified Creative Catalyst”—fostering innovation, sparking creativity, and driving meaningful change.
