De volksgezondheid is in Zuid-Limburg al decennialang slechter dan in de rest van Nederland. Dat is een complex probleem om aan te pakken, er is een Trendbreuk nodig. Als arts Maatschappij + Gezondheid werk ik hier aan, met collega's binnen en buiten de GGD en de Universiteit Maastricht. Dat doe ik ook samen met artsen in opleiding tot specialist en promovendi die ik opleid en begeleid.Veel van mijn werk speelt zich af in de Academische Werkplaats Publieke Gezondheid Mosa. De combinatie van enthousiast en nieuwsgierige collega's, ambitieuze beleidsplannen, opleiden en wetenschappelijk onderzoek maakt dat ik iedere dag met positieve energie aan het werk ben.
