About Ric Davy

Ric was awarded three Distinguished Flying Crosses as an Air Force Pilot in the Vietnam War. Soon after, he joined the Naval Reserve and was recalled for Desert Storm as a Civil Engineer for Naval Forces Central Command. In 1979, he studied theater design at Cambridge University and received a Masters of Architecture from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design. His early career included tenure as a Project Manager for a large San Diego general contractor. In 1984, Ric built his own firm, Davy Architecture, a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, in downtown San Diego. As Senior Principal Architect, Ric has devoted his career to providing exceptional design services to our local communities for educational, institutional, commercial, healthcare, residential, and hospitality projects. He is dedicated to helping our clients by bringing the best value and optimum sustainable design to every project. He has a national architectural registration through the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) and is licensed to practice in California, Arizona, Colorado and Nevada.
