With a rewarding career spanning more than a decade, I have progressed up to C-suite level, operating in regional business environments in the utility sector, and handling some of the most complex transactions. I understand the challenges facing organizations that wish to conduct global business.Taking up my first CFO role after the financial crisis of 2008/9, I joined a PE-owned thermal generation company in Guatemala, driving the refinancing of multilateral construction loans with a commercial banking syndicate. I was fortunate to be handpicked as a successor to the existing CFO in 2010.As a commercially focused CFO, I provide valuable input to board-level executives on strategic matters and deliver an alternative viewpoint on potential international investments. I am well versed in sourcing funding for major capital projects, including a large-scale thermal power generation plant.I appreciate the differing way PE firms and publicly listed companies operate, as I have been exposed to both on multiple occasions. I am very proud of my many achievements, including carving out entities and delivering a new corporate platform for a newly formed PE-backed company.My passion is driven by safeguarding financial performance in volatile markets and industries.
