For as long as I can remember I’ve been passionate about knowledge sharing, I love acquiring knowledge and sharing it with others. Yes, I’m the woman that enjoys standing up in the front of an audience and teaching you something! Seeing that lightbulb go off in your head and that smile coming across your face when you’ve learnt something new, acquired a new skill or helped you to overcome a roadblock is really fulfilling! Currently, I manage petroleum inventory for one of the largest oil companies in The Bahamas. Stock control is a pretty big deal, and if this isn’t done correctly, one day, you may end up looking to put gas/diesel in your vehicle/boat from your favorite distributor and hear those dreaded words “we are out of fuel”. Ensuring that the airlines have sufficient jet fuel to run their airplanes, is also apart of my job. So yes, a great deal of responsibility, accuracy and accountability goes into my day to day responsibilities! I’ve been filling my career tank by gaining valuable experience in varying industries: Hospitality/tourism/customer service: I’ve had vast experiences in these areas and I truly believe that affording others great experiences and delivering top notch service is truly rewarding! I’ve worked in hotels such as Sandals Royal Bahamian, Memories (now closed) and smaller Bed & Breakfast and thoroughly enjoy the holistic experience of running a hotel and offering awesome service experiences to guests and customers. Telecommunications: I’ve worked with the newest provider in The Bahamas “Aliv” and was on the team from inception. While there, I travelled on behalf of the company, in an effort to introduce Family Island business owners to the new products and services and motivated them to come on board and sell the products and services in their establishment. I also managed valuable inventory while with the company. Project Management: I recently (Sep 2020), became a Certified International Project Manager, and a fellow of the American Academy of Project Management. Managing a project from inception to closing, on time and within budget are skills that I currently possess. I’m currently seeking to expand my expertise in this area by working on small-medium sized projects. Outside of work, I’m a Toastmaster, co-chair Sol’s Social Committee, a lover of all things “festival”, live bands and travel! Have a project and need a project manager? Let’s collaborate!
