About Rich Goetz

My maintenance career in the Natural Gas and Oil Industries has spanned over 37 years. Prior to beginning my career in this industry, I graduated with a 2 year mechanical/technical diploma from North Dakota State College of Science. After completing my education with a 3.6 GPA I spent almost 5 years with PAMCO in Williston ND learning the Waukesha engine product line along with many others. In 1988 I moved to Gillette WY where I began my 22 year career with Western Gas whom later was bought by Anadarko. The 22 Years at Western Gas took me from being a field service mechanic all the way to maintenance foreman. My department was in charge of completing compression development for the Coal Bed Methane (CBM) activities for the Powder River Basin which included the design, installation and maintenance of over 600 compressor packages, and approximately horsepower. With the decline in the CBM activities I was presented with a opportunity to manage an engine rebuild center for Toromont Energy Services, spending 5 years managing this facility and several name changes. Then after 5 years Enerflex had decided to close the engine rebuild portion of this facility. I then took a position with Outrigger Energy as a Field Superintendent in the Gillette/Wright Wyoming area, managing a crude oil pipeline system and metering stations. I spent 2 1/2 years managing this system when Outrigger sold to Tallgrass Energy. During my 1.5 years with Tallgrass I managed the purchasing, rebuilding and installation of compression in newly developing fields. Outrigger Energy presented me with and opportunity to manage a 60 MM day CRYO plant and field compression, along with a crude oil system. I successfully accomplished that and was then promoted to Equipment Maintenance and Rotating Manger responsible for the maintenance in both Colorado and North Dakota operations groups. My vast experience in the Oil and Gas industry has given be many opportunities and responsibilities for which I'm very proud of being part of and feel those opportunities have developed me to where I am today.
