About Rich Malmsten

For the past 17 years I've had countless opportunities to work with converters in the Flexible Packaging industry all across North America to help them improve their lamination process with H.B. Fuller adhesives. As a chemical engineer I combine my knowledge of reactive chemistry with my expertise in laminating equipment to assist H.B Fuller's customers to increase their output, improve quality, reduce down time, and minimize waste. Whether it assisting to start-up new equipment at the customer's plant, trouble-shooting customers' manufacturing problems back at H.B. Fuller's Technical Service lab, or developing detailed plans to run experiments on our own Super Combi laminator, each days brings opportunities to work with customers from large to small, both those who have laminated for decades, as well as those who are installing their first laminator.
