About Rich Saunders

I started out my career as a Learning Support Assistant at Aviva. Since then I have had various people-facing jobs at several companies. I'm a real people person and a great communicator who has built many professional relationships over the years. I am a real tech enthusiast and I have had an interest in technology and computing as long as I can remember. My love for tech has spurred me on to become a self-taught JavaScript developer. Why JavaScript? Well Javascript is a power programming language and the only one that can be read by web browsers. This means you can build powerful applications that run over the web. Going back to my career history I have a wealth of experience in project and people management as well as content writing. I have written blog posts for both Norfolk Developers and Tech Educators as well as create general web content, guides and documentation for many employers over recent years. I have joined various developer groups, talked with many developers, taken their advice, and enrolled in many coding boot camps. After two years of self-learning, here I am, a teaching assistant at Tech Educators, where I help students learn HTML, CSS, Javascript and Bootstrap. To further excel my career I am also learning the React J.S. library, Node J.S. for server-side rendering, Express J.S. and MongoDB. I am also a volunteer coach for Codebar, a great company and community that offer support to those underrepresented in the tech community.
