About Richard Alleman

With around 25 years in the IT industry, I have gained a very diverse set of skills. These skills have seen me through a career in IT that has spanned applications development, solutions and enterprise architecture, consulting and management. I am skilled in many programming languages, databases and database access technologies, Java-based and non-Java-based applications servers, Linux, Solaris, Windows and OSX operating systems, network design topologies and several schools of thought in both architecture and development methodologies. I have strengths in many areas, in particular in the areas of design, solution and enterprise architecture. I have excellent written and oral communication skills. I have an ability to visualise the larger picture within an organisation and make architecture decisions based on appropriate cost, time and value relationships. As a consultant I have been able to make long lasting relationships with clients of varying degrees of seniority. I am driven by creating high performing, efficient and enterprise ready applications and architectures. I thrive on projects with complex requirements and high transaction volumes. The more complex the requirement, the more I’m compelled find an efficient solution and in turn the more I enjoy my work. My goal is to work in an organisation in a capacity where I can utilise the extensive experience I have in the above areas, to improve my skill in these areas and to develop skills in areas that I have yet untapped. I my private time, I sing and write songs and perform. Am a budding guitarist. I am the inventor of the Domaji Puzzle. I'm a keen traveller. I follow the sciences, particularly physics.
