Hello World, As an experienced FCCA Regional Financial Controller and Group Finance Manager, I've expertly managed the financial operations of subsidiaries across more than 10 countries within the Education, Financial Services, and Manufacturing sectors. My career began in private practice and management accounting, laying a strong foundation for my ACCA training at the European HQ of a Fortune company. It was here that I honed my skills in monthly financial reporting, fixed asset accounting, and the art of seamlessly integrating ERP systems. My journey accelerated when I was promoted to Financial Accountant, where I mastered the intricacies of consolidated financial statements, bank regulatory reporting, and navigating the labyrinth of IFRS and US GAAP differences. After earning company accolades, I embraced new challenges, stepping into the role of Accounting and Finance Manager at another US-based multi-billion-dollar business. Leading a team of 3-4, I orchestrated the annual audit, collaborated on budgets and costings, and took the helm of the month-end reporting process. My career then took a sun-soaked turn as I relocated from the UK to Malta, where I currently steer the local financial ship at an English Language School. Here, I oversee group audits and consolidated accounts, FP & A, business partnering, budgeting/re-forecasting, model and dashboard building, and the financial management of our Malta and South African entities. Regular engagements with C-level executives have broadened my commercial knowledge, and I’m privileged to lead a dynamic team of 5-7 talented individuals. I hold a Law and Economics degree from the University of Leicester and am fluent in Spanish, which pairs nicely with my love for salsa dancing and tennis.
