About Richard Bell

Born in the UK, Richard studied Design at Sheffield Hallam University, specialising in Furniture and Product Design. Graduating in 2010 with a First Class Honours, Richard went on to showcase his graduate collection including the 'Bubble Tank'​ which was awarded 2nd place at the 'New Design Britain'​ awards in 2010. In June 2010 Richard was awarded an 'Artist in Residence'​ position at the 'Museums Quartier'​ in Vienna, Austria where he began working on a new range of products. After returning to the UK, Richard founded 'Psalt Design'​, a Furniture and Product Design company inspired by materials and process, specialising in fun, contemporary and unique products, all hand-crafted in Great Britain. Psalt Design have gone on to produce a number of products designed for the home which are regularly showcased around Europe. These are available world-wide through a number of exclusive stores. Psalt are always keen to work on live projects and have worked with clients including Nando's and the NHS. In 2014 Richard began lecturing at Newcastle College on the Foundation Degree Interior Design and Furniture and Fine Product Design courses. In early 2015, Richard set up 'Studio Souvenir', which designs products inspired by Art, Design and Travel.
